Just a thought here... would it be possible to include animated gif's in teases here? Seems like now only the JPG format is supported.
I ask because animated gifs could liven up the format. For example, one could have an animated pendulum to show exactly what "fast" stroking means. Or, one could (possibly) use a 2-frame animated gif with a really slow frame rate to put a timer into their tease. (e.g., don't click continue until the pic changes).
Maybe no one would ever use this feature, but the idea seems to have potential, at least to me.

Thanks for the suggestion.
I must admit the idea is really smart. However we intentionally decided on jpg only in order to make the webtease format as simple as possible. There is one project in particular that I'm working on that relies on all teases being static.
However, you will very soon be able to get all the timers and interactivity you can think of through the FlashTease system. We are working very hard on the new FlashTease editor and we're making good progress. So, hang in there and you might already wanna collect your ideas to make the most outrageously dynamic teases imaginable.

Thanks, glad you liked the idea. I can understand the drive to keep things simple. The simpler the editor, the more teases people will post and the less questions you'll get on how to use it.
I'm curious about how the new FlashTease editor will work. Have you posted an overview of what it'll be like? Is it a simplified UI that'll build the Flash behind the scenes? I guess I can wait to find out when everyone else does...
I know it's a real challenge to make something that's easy to use but that also supports a wide range of features, so you're certainly taking on a daunting task. I love how much freedom Flash gives us to create teases, but I really don't enjoy using it and find that it takes me quite awhile to build a good tease. (Hence the very infrequent contributions to my yahoo group). Currently, my second choice for tease creation is MS Powerpoint. Much easier to use, and supports a range of features for dynamic content. For me, the only thing it's missing is randomness. But, it's great for sound, video, images, text, and animation, and OK for allowing decisions and alternate routings through the content. It was while working on something in ppt that I got the animated gif idea... it's much easier to just stick in an animated gif of a pendulum than to manually create the back-and-forth animation using ppt!
