While writing the Submissive Challenge, I find myself wondering about what is common and not common...
I'd love to hear from Milovanians what implements and toys you have- what do you consider common?
I'm also starting this thread to ask specific questions... Is olive oil something everyone has or can get? Where is the line between common and uncommon?

Re: Common Ingredients vs. Uncommon Ingredients
Alison, I am slightly unsure what you mean by Ingredients,
I think you mean play toys?
Very Common:
Lube
spanking tool- everyone has at least a spoon
fairly common
Icey hot or warming lube
Dildo
Vibrator
Butt Plug
Rope
Clothespegs (clothespins)
paddle
Slave collar
Women's undies
Not so common
Handcuffs
chastity cage
Flogger
Whip
Harness
An Actual crossdressing outfit -blouse, skirt, ect.
Uncommon
Ruber, PVC clothing
Spreader bars
Dongeon Equipment
Electric/ shocking toys (tens and such)
Downright Rare
Fucking Machine (I would be suprised if anyone has one.

Re: Common Ingredients vs. Uncommon Ingredients
Maybe it is a good idea to include an alternative instruction, if the requested toy is not available. I think everything that is available in some supermarket next door and is not too expensive can be included without problems. With condoms and a bit of imagination (vegetables, silicone from a DIY market, whatever) it is for example relatively easy to construct a (safe) dildo or plug. If you want to know about toys the milovanians already own you should make suitable poll.

Re: Common Ingredients vs. Uncommon Ingredients
I think Indy's on to something there.
Anything in the house or readily available at the grocery store, Wal-Mart, or something like that are probably fairly common. Even if a sub doesn't have them now, they're easy to obtain.
However, if you have to go to a specialty store or online ordering, then it's probably less common.
Then, you might consider price range. Obviously more expensive items are going to be less common than cheaper things. A $300 chastity device is probably much less common that a $10 cock ring for example.
Just some thoughts on the matter.

Re: Common Ingredients vs. Uncommon Ingredients
Well I've been in this for a while but been with my mistress/gf only for a year and We've been at this only a few months. I lost all my "toys" in a fire in July and only started re-buying stuff because of her recently. So this is what we have accumulated in the last few months
Small waterproof Dildo-Vibrator
Dogcollar
Pet bowl
miniskirt
Corset Halter top
Fully boned Steel corset
5 inch heels
Manicure Kit (including red nail polish)
WIg
2 Thongs/Panties
We also want to add:
Chastity Device
Cuff/Collar Combo's
Wireless Remote Controll Vibrating Egg/plug of some sort
Buttplug
Lockable 5 & 6 inch heels
Lockable Maids outfit
Spreader Bar
Ball Gag
Under Bed Restraints
Paddle
We kinda wanna get it all in one go, and soon so we're eagerly looking forward to the sub challenge toy-kit either from perverosity or the stockroom, and we'll add whatever's not included in the kit :D

Re: Common Ingredients vs. Uncommon Ingredients
In my experience, there is really no such thing as "common," unfortunately for what you are trying to do. People generally accumulate a great breadth and depth of toys in the areas that interest them. So while every impact play enthusiast probably has a paddle of some form, that might be the last thing that someone solely into cross-dressing and humiliation would buy. As an example, I have an extensive collection of impact, sensation, pain & penetration toys, but absolutely nothing for sissification & animal play, as those aren't usually my kinks.
Some people are strangely reluctant about shopping online for kink toys. Unless you're still living with parents (in which case you're too young to be on sites like this, I think?), or you're living with a vanilla partner who isn't comfortable with kink (in which case you have bigger problems than a thorough toybox), there's no reason you can't throw down ten bucks for some cheap-o easy item on an online kink shop.
If you really need to draw a line between "common" and "uncommon," I would shift terminology: Instead of "common," I would go for, "achievable without great hardship, financial or otherwise." Included on this list would be things like panties, clothespins, binder clamps, etc.
