It seems like all of the teases are focused on various themed slave/slut training, humiliation, and feminization.

I know this is a tease site, but does everything have to be so cruel spirited? A little more vanilla teasing (and denial) couldn't hurt could it?

I don't mind the darker stuff, but anything without moderation gets old rather quickly.

I've noticed that myself, but there are some good examples of vanilla teases. The cock hero series is one giant example of vanilla without the submissive subtext, though there are a few fetish offshoots here and there.

There is a presence here of folks whose interests are more mainstream, myself being included. I know prawndiddy has spoken of his preferences being more on the "lighter" side of this site as well.

If you're looking for content however, uberman and supermokkori are two creators who have minimal fetish influence in their teases. 1885's efforts are influenced by some denial and entrapment fantasies, but are VERY well written. I would count myself, but my tease hasn't seen release yet, despite working on it for the better part of a year now.

But there is the age old adage, see a need, fill a need. Or in other words, if you're hurting for some plain and straight teases, why not make some of your own?

As an old timer here on Milovana, may I suggest you go way back to some of the original teases. I think you will find what you are looking for.

This site certainly has evolved, I miss some of the excellent authors of yesteryear. Perhaps if one wants more variety, one should try their hand at creating a tease of their liking. I certainly have made my share of teases, most were not well received, but that didn't stop me from creating.

Also don't get me wrong, I don't want to discourage anyone from making a tease. I just found this thread and mostly agree with it as well.When I used to come here years ago there were much more styles and varieties of teases.

I agree, but I feel like my teases fit into that broad genre you are describing: the sort where a pretty girl ensnares you not by force or because you are utterly pathetic, but by sheer charm and/or a quirky set of circumstances.

Indeed a lot of the stuff on here does not really qualify as "teasing" at all, it seems much more like bondage, torture, forced feminization, extreme humiliation, etc.

Furthermore most of the teases of whatever sort don't have any sense of character or plot, they just jump right in to a set of instructions. I tend to like those teases that have some sort of backdrop, some sort of scenario by which you are first induced to jerk it and/or put on that chastity device, and which build some intensity gradually. Trends are changing. With new people, with old ones gone. In my opinion, porn, including teasing, stories, photos are changing as much as art, movies, clothings.

I think although often worded harshly, writing your own tease is part of the solution as people create what they are interested in. At the minute there are a large amount of feminisation teases, so people interested in that are attracted to the website, create teases and the circle continues.

I agree, and I am slowly working to be part of the solution, rather than part of the "problem." I write stories and teases depicting the type of encounter that *I* enjoy -- playful, consensual, game-oriented, wherein the domme cheers and encourages the sub -- but it is a slow process. A good tease must not only hit the theme, but also needs quality core content. (writing, pictures, etc.)

I am encouraged to hear about people's interest in non-humiliation-based teases, though. It spurs me to spend more time and finish what I've started, sooner.

All that said... the "market" for teases will supply what people demand. Apparently, there is a demand for humiliation and feminization. It's great that there is a place like Milovana with the open-mindedness to meet that demand.
