Without further announcement I proudly present to you my first Cock Hero creation:

I've always been a fan of the Cock Hero series but always thought it would be to hard to make one of my own. Due to circumstances I've had more spare time on my hands the last couple of months and thought I'd give it a go.

So without any prior experience in video editing or designing in general I started of making just one round to see if it could be done. This turned out to be round 6 in the video. Luckily Vegas Studio is pretty easy to start off with. For some things, like how to get a working stroke meter I watched some YouTube tutorials and went on from there.

Getting the strokemeter to work wasn't really that hard actually, but getting the beats accurate was a real pain in the ass and took me way longer then I would of liked or expected. Some bits are still a bit rough but I feel I could spend 20+ more hours and not really make any noticeable improvements so I finally settled on this version.

What I didn't expect to be hard, but was much harder then I initially expected was the selection of clips to use. Having an extensive collection (SD & HD) actually made it a lot harder. Remembering clips you would like to add but cannot find anymore or great clips that are not HD.
That being said that is also where the name (Selections) of the series came from. A selection of my collection. (You have to think of something )
The subtitle (Classic) doesn't mean I think this is an instant classic, far from it, but more in the line of a classic take of the Cock Hero Series with multiple themed rounds + reward round and the difficulty ramping up as you go along.

For my next release I plan on improving on the next 3 points:

• A central theme

• Include a beatmeter

• Better styling

For my next release I would really appreciate it if anybody could help me on a few points I'm still struggling with and could really use some improvement on. So if theirs anybody here with Vegas Studio knowledge or editing sound in general I would appreciate it if you could let me know so I can run some questions by you. Haven't had a chance to play this, but skimmed through it a bit and really liked the scene selection. I also agree with pdIndr that the beat sound is pretty helpful so you can focus on the lovely ladies and not the beat meter.

It is always great to see new creators here. So kudos to you.

I took a quick look through the video, and to my dismay I can see that the beat-meter is really suffering. (I have read your comments and understand that this is something that you are aware of)

• There are no audible clicks / beats. This makes is a lot harder to follow beats whenever you do anything more complicated than 1-1 beats.
• There are severe syncing issues in pretty much every round. This is probably why you don't have audible clicks. If you had clicks layered on top, you would immediately notice the syncing issues. I recommend you learn to use the "beatmeter generator" https://gitlab.com/SklaveDaniel/BeatmeterGenerator. This tool makes it a lot easier to make a tight beat-meter.
• While this is somewhat a matter of preference, I find that any time you use a "complicated" beat, it is very important it is matched to the song. I found that many places combination of beat and music did not make much sense. And with the syncing issues and no audio que, this unfortunately makes this CH unplayable for me in its current state.

Anyway, these is the most obvious issues. I can also give a lot of feedback for the video editing in general, but we can do that over PM's if you are interested.

1h playtime is a big project, I certainly appreciate the effort, so take this criticism the right way. I wish you good luck on improving your editing skills.

Also cool music selection. A blast from the past. I've had "Hey Boy, Hey Girl" laying around ages, but never found a project i could fit it into

To be honest I was under the impression, that yes the strokemeter was not always 100% spot on, maybe sometimes (mostly during sections with no real beat sound in the music) a bit off, but still well playable. My opinion is biased though as you can imagine

If this is not the case, and most of you agree that it is not playable/enjoyable in it's current state I will consider editing it with a beatmeter. Although this will take some time as I have no prior knowledge working with one. I'm considering this because I would find it an awful shame if +- 150 hours went to waste and most people didn't enjoy it.

Take it for what it's worth as I agree with above. The beat meter was off and just not timed right. For me, I like the beat meters that sync with the main beat of the song being played. That way I can listen to the music and watch the scenes instead of trying to watch the meter and I always seem to get in sync with the music beats instead. I haven't created a beat meter so not sure how it's done but if there is a way to get the main beats exported and then the beat meter synced to that, this CH would be a favorite, for me anyways. You used a lot of my favorite adult stars and love the scene selections but I can't play because of the beat meter and sync issues.

I haven't checked it out yet, but I'll agree with the mention above that Beatmeter Generator is a wonderful tool for making beatmeters synched to music. It can seem a little cryptic to start, but it's actually very simple to use, and we're happy to help in the threads for it. From what I've gathered, it can be moody on Macs, but at least in Windows it works a dream. I've used it for all of my releases.

I have decided to completely overhaul the strokemeter and add a beatmeter. This will take some time because I have not prior experience. I'm most likely going to take the file offline in it's current state sometime this weekend and post it back up when it's done. So if you really want it in it's current state grab it now or wait till the final edit is done :)

I had the same conundrum early on. The key to overcoming this for me was the filing/naming system I had to come up with - assuring a common nomenclature.

So here is my format for file-names:

Studio - actress - participants gender - fetish or other

e.g.
Babes - LanaRhodes - BG - Creampie
Twistys - MadisonIvy - Solo - Tease Toys
Brazzers - MiaMalkova AdrianaChechik - BGG - Anal
Nubiles - NanceyA - BG - Schoolgirl
MetArt - Mikayla Isizzu - Solo - Striptease



This makes it easier to find specific contact - especially with search features in a folder/file list. It took a VERY long time to transition everything over when I started but now as soon I'm not longer seeding a torrent file and keeping the file, I change the name and move it to my folders that are named for specific categories I need.

This is why I use qbittorrent (though I'm sure other clients have similar functionality). I can tag and categorize all the torrents right in the client, so when I say, need all the scenes of AJ Applegate with good cumshots in them, or where Whitney Wright is doing a DP or whatever, it's a quick filter to find all the scenes. Then I can go through and pick the one I like best pretty quickly. Though actually checking the clips and categorizing does take some time. I've got almost 4TB of 1080p footage sitting to be categorized right now, and I haven't even started grabbing all the torrents starring Keisha Gray yet. I do leave all my torrents active though, so I can build up ratio on empornium for future projects.
