Ratings Based on Rhythmic Accuracy

As a musician/percusionist, my ABSOLUTE WORST pet peeve is when someone is playing an instrument out of time with the rest of the band. It's like fingernails on the chalk board for me - I can't ignore it.

For me, it doesn't matter how smoking hot the action is in a Cock Hero video - if the beat track is out-of-time with the music, that's all I will notice. On the other hand, when the beats are well-synched, the sense of immersion is incredible, and it's like my cock has become a musical instrument of orgasmic pleasure, to be played by the conductor/creator.

So I took the liberty of rating the quality and accuracy of the beats for each video on the streaming site (http://cockhero.richsex.com/), and results are listed below.

Scale:

1 - Wow this is garbage. Totally out of time with the rhythm. Maybe I'll watch on mute.

NOTE:

This is not to disparage the hard work and effort for those making Cock Hero videos. I know it's got be challenging to match up the beats properly. Keep trying, and maybe learn from the ones who have it figure out.

This is something I decided to do for myself so I can remember which videos to come back to. Personally, I won't jerk it to anything below a 6. (You'll notice that rules out about 75% of videos, and you'll also notice I'm still waiting for someone to make that perfect 10.)

I share this as a public service to anyone else with an internal sense of rhythm who doesn't want to waste their time with out-of-rhythm videos.

I can see what you're getting at with the older and more amateur vids, but now we pretty much all use FL studio or Ableton Live, so it's not even technically possible for our beats to be off.

This could be a valuable thread to those with the same pet peeve as you, but I would suggest you reword your description for the grade 1. Even if you think the beats are "garbage", it's disrespectful to the creators who put in a lot of time and effort for free. There have been a few (less than five) movies where the beats were so hopeless that I couldn't stroke to them, but for most of the movies I've had no problems, and frankly, they do not deserve the grades 1-3, if grade 1 is supposed to mean "garbage".

Heh... actually, I don't. I've done all my beat matching manually in all my video teases. Maybe that's why they take me so long to make.

Personally beatmeter, I don't mind the criticism as I know I can always do a better job at beat-matching. But yeah, you're likely to ruffle feathers here in calling-out a lot of Cock Hero's here with red ratings. And honestly, it doesn't help that your very first post at Milovana is to be critical (wrong or right) of the video tease creations.

Jupiter, first thing is that it is very possible for the beats to not match up to the music in newer videos. Something not many people realize is that not all music is perfectly in time. It depends on genre and age to some extent but most music where it is performed by musicians will drift by a couple BPM throughout the song which can throw the beats created for it out. Also some electronic music is created with a deliberately changing tempo, from a little to a lot depending and some are rock solid on a chosen tempo.

And there are plenty of vids released in the past year let alone 2 that have had beat matching problems. A common thing I find is that people will get the beats really close at the start of a track but its not quite exact or like I have mentioned the tracks tempo may shift and so by the middle - end of the track the beats have become significantly out. Or another place some people introduce errors is at places when they change the beat pattern. its quite common for a slight mistake here to throw the beats out for the rest of the track

A second thing that happens occasionally is a video's encoding can mess with things, its weird and I don't understand why but some videos I have seen are more out in some video players then others.

Also beatmeter has said that this was based on his judgment but he was happy for other opinions to be expressed, maybe if you guys think some of these are wrong or overly harsh take the time to go back and look at the specific video and place your own rating on here. I know I will be looking at a couple of them again.

That's an excellent point actually. Typically audio is slightly off on any streaming site, even the good ones like YouTube. Though I know it'd be a ton of work, the only way to get truly accurate ratings is download the original torrents.

First of all I want to thank you for giving feed back to all authors with this approach. At a first glance it looks like quite a lot work you put into creating this list.

Unfortunately the information gain is quite low. It would help a lot when you explain why a video got a specific rating. So if you give a bad rating the author knows what to improve and if the rating is good other authors would know what to watch out for to make better beats. But at this state the list is not really helpful.

There's another point which reduces the value of this list in its actual state. Matching beats perfectly isn't necessarily crucial to make the beats of a video good. I mean I could create a video and match a beat to every audible beat of the music which results in a video with a perfect beat. But this beat will be mostly 1-1. That would be the most boring video of all times
With your system this video would get a 10/10.

Of course I looked up which rating you gave my videos and what I saw let me question the accuracy of this list. It's not the rating itself which baffles me, it's the fact that you gave both videos the same rating.
For my first video I got a lot feed back because of mismatched beats which was absolutely justifiable. So I worked on that issue and changed the whole process and improved the beats. And for my second video I didn't get complains, instead I got compliments.
Either the rating of Infinite Desire 1 must be lower or the rating of Infinite Desire 2 must be higher, but it's impossible that they have the same rating.

Second, is what you're criticizing the fact that the beats are out of synch? If that's the case then I have no idea what that's all about for as previous posts have mentioned most of us use software for the beat matching. If you're instead talking about the fact that the stroking beat pattern doesn't match the original beat pattern of the song, than that would be an intentional deviation from the original track in order to facilitate a good CH. If this is what you're talking about than stick to PMV's.

I know that the song doesn't follow a 7-7 time signature, but that's a good rhythm to stroke to.

So, to finish, I always find it a bit rude to call anyone's labor of love garbage. Every single one of those videos took someone a large amount of time and effort. Speaking only for myself, I've never edited video before and I'm not a musician so I'm 100% self taught on all this shit. And Fail was my first attempt. I've gotten a ton of positive feedback so you're rating system doesn't fuck with me too much, but there's a lot of others out there who maybe aren't as secure in their editing skills and you just went and called their efforts garbage. Even if you were signing their paycheck, shitting on their work like that is not constructive on needed. It's called management 101 asshole. If your desire was to get better editors who could match your standards than you took the wrong approach. It's called nurturing and steering. You nurture the talent you have and attempt to steer it in the direction you would like to see it progress in.

And as for the personal rating of a 4 for Fail (unplayable by your standards), like I said before, go fuck yourself. And please do me a favor and not watch Fail 2 when I release it. You're very welcome to go watch something else.
