It's just that I have to actually publish the tease to test it, and that's not cool.
If it's too much work tho (wich I expect is not the case), you may forget the request. After all, I managed up till now with no major bugs somehow.

Well, there is no question that you're right, it's just that I can't do anything about it.Nezhul wrote:ok then, no problem. I just thought that the compiller for preview mode and the actual published tease should be pretty much the same
The new tease system that we're currently developing/testing. Search for it in the forums, I leaked some information here and there.Human wrote:What is EOS?

When is it going to come out? If not soon, any chance of being a tester?seraph0x wrote:The new tease system that we're currently developing/testing. Search for it in the forums, I leaked some information here and there.Human wrote:What is EOS?

Not right now, but I'll starting adding more testers over the next couple of weeks. To become a tester, your best bet is to have some FlashTeases under your belt and to be currently active on the forums.Finlander wrote:If not soon, any chance of being a tester?

why cant you decompile Nyx and take the scripts out of the working version? or is it to much hassle and easier to work on a new better script?seraph0x wrote:Sorry to say it's not that simple. There have been tons of great suggestions for Nyx in the last two years, but in 2009 my hard drive crashed, taking several days of uncommitted changes with it. I've tried several times to catch back up, but every time I tried, more problems came up (such as changes in the Flex framework, changes in other parts of Milovana, new FlashTeases using quirky bugs as features so that now I had to support them to maintain backwards compatibility).
Over time I spent weeks trying to salvage Nyx, but its problems are so deep and structural. Everything you fix just reveals ten bigger problems. I eventually decided it was better to scrap it and start working on Eos instead.
Anyone can try and do that if they like. The problem is that all the variable names in the decompiled code will be mangled, so it'll be pretty hard to work with. Since Eos is at about the same set of features as Nyx, there really isn't much point in putting any more time into Nyx now.slutastic wrote:why cant you decompile Nyx and take the scripts out of the working version? or is it to much hassle and easier to work on a new better script?
I'm definitely open to suggestions for the classic teases, you can post them in the Suggestions forum. That said, the classic teases are intentionally simple and have minimalistic features. So I'm looking to pretty much keep them as a picture with some unformatted text. I'm planning to give classic teases a more powerful image uploader and there are some open suggestions in terms of voting, favoriting and getting other related teases recommended to you. Such things are definitely coming after Eos is live.slutastic wrote:Also are you still working on the original php based teases still? (There is advantages to having them still worked on such as more hits on search engines and option to start tease at a certain page for teases that take more than 1 day)
