After I fell to a tease that generate a considerable amount of discussion early in the year, I started to crave more of that thrilling experience. I searched the internet and found a site that had this kind of fetish. After much thought, I bough one clip and played the game. Felt that thrill again. Bough another a few days later. and so on. I now own four clips from the same girl, all about the same fetish, in less than a month from the first buy.
I never paid for porn before, and I use the internet since dial-up. Sure, I was young and broke and now I can afford to pay, but should I? I mean, each video cost the same amount I would spend by ordering a hamburguer with fries (and I eat them 5 times per month, or more). Actually, both have roughly the same value and I've spent approx the same time watching each clip than I would eating an unhealthy meal. The difference is that I still own the clips and can rewatch them anytime I want.
But there is this feeling that I could use the money in more constructive ways (or not use the money at all). But the thrill of watching and following the instructions of each clip are cathartic. I'm just torn between conflicted feelings and wanted to vent a little, and read your thoughts on the subject.
Is it wrong to pay for porn?

Re: Is it wrong to pay for porn?
personally, it's wrong for creators to not get paid for their work if they choose to monetize it.
Studio stuff, "professional" scenes and things getting released by say Brazzers to sell under Brazzers sites and such...its still technically wrong, but most consumers won't bat an eye over sharing/posting content from big studios with payrolled stars and such. Onlyfans and similar gets into a muddy area, but if you view it as a marketplace for individual content creators, it goes back to my first point.
At the end of the day we're talking about sex workers and making sure those performers are paid for their work.
As for me, if I really like a certain performer, I'll pay for some content. Kind of like music...I used Limewire back in the day quite a bit to check stuff out then make a purchase in iTunes. Some one-hit wonders, yeah, I never paid for. Bands with albums I liked, I would eventually buy the album.
How you feel about it is a combination of social pressures and ultimately your internal thinking. Paying for content* in porn is no more or less morally dubious as buying music or a mainstream movie to stream. (*content that is produced with enthusiastic affirmative consent and fair payment to performers)

Re: Is it wrong to pay for porn?
Why would it be wrong? It's entertainment and there is nothing wrong with entertainment. Some of the videos there seem pretty expensive for the length and for the production value that they probably have. But then if you enjoy a certain creator and it is worth it to you, why not.
There is a risk with certain kinks like blackmail, domination etc. to get sucked into various scams of course, so always reflect whether you are getting your moneys worth, and as with all non-necessary spending, make sure you really can afford it and you really get enough from it. But that's no different to buying fashion items, consumer electronics or whatever.

Re: Is it wrong to pay for porn?
I have the same qualms sometimes when buying more fancy food or wine, something that is excrement 24 hours later, if I ate rice and legumes every day and consume only water at the end of the month I'd have saved enough to buy something more useful.
But where's the fun in that?
It's all about balance imo, rice and legumes a couple of days a week, chocolate covered caviar ocassionally (to just state something really really decadent XD) and don't get to attached to the fancy stuff. Keep it a treat, we all need a treat sometimes, nourish our bodies, minds and desires. Just make sure it serves you.

I'd have to say as long as it's not shady, and you know it's not a scam then go for it. Buy what you want, even if it is smut.
tbh I'd have to say some onlyfans would be more worth it than just a few clips but that's just my opinion. As said before big corpo shoots just get shared no matter what and nobody thinks twice, the ones that are a bit of an issue being shared are the small time creators.

If you pay for porn, you are a loser, if you pay for live chats, you are a loser, if you pay for webcams, you are a loser, and even if you go to the strip club, you're still a loser.cristovaop wrote: ↑Fri Mar 22, 2024 3:57 pm After I fell to a tease that generate a considerable amount of discussion early in the year, I started to crave more of that thrilling experience. You lost.
You lost money, you lost time.
Because honestly, you're most likely just masturbating and you can do that not only with free porn, but also without porn at all. Yep. So, to conclude, if you pay for porn you are a loser.
What's another argument? The videos are higher quality and more professional? That's interesting. So is your imagination if you know how to use it.
You can spend your time arguing with me that paying for porn doesn't make you a loser, but really, do YOU pay for porn? Or are you just defending those who do? If the case is the latter, then you have little say in this argument. If you do pay for porn and you would like to make a counter-argument to my opinion, maybe that would be better use of your time then watching porn, and if it's not and you prefer to watch porn instead of arguing, then go ahead and open PornHub premium and forget about Reddit.
