No pictures/images showing up in GuideMe?

Hey guys,

I am new to guideme, and i think i might be missing something really simple here.

When I load the XML files, I can see the text but no pictures?

Any ideas?

On a PC your xml file is stored inside a folder (directory). In the same folder there should be a subfolder containing the images and sound files. It usually has a name closely related to the xml file name.

If the subfolder is missing or doesn't contain the necessary files, you would get text only.

One other thought, Guideme runs under Java and needs to be started accordingly (there is a file for doing that in the standard download). If you just run the xml file in a browser, it won't be good.

The other possible issue people have had is it doesn't like some folder names or long folder names.
If the files are all there, but it is in a complex or long set of folders, try creating a folder with a simple name like c:\guides
and put the tease there and see if it will load.
