How about that you in your account could achieve points for completing teases!
More points for harder teases and less points for easier teases. AND If you start a tease were it envolves denying for some days, then your account would be locked and you can not enter teases till the days of denying are over.

Then we could have some achievements that you can collect, like "edging master" (complete 50 edges in one tease) "edging newbie" (complete 5 edges in one tease), Denial master (denied for 10 days or more), and so forth...
And all the results could be saved, you can see your progress and more. ( and a competition every month of who is the best "the edging king of Milovana" haha XD (the competition is the one who had done the most edges for the month or week, totally)

For every tease there could be a list of achievements that you can get if you complete the tease.

I got the idea from http://www.khanacademy.org/. That's is a site to study on, see like youtube clips where you can get achievements if you complete some exercises, and watch lessons. The achievement progress is really new XD

Another funny thing is that when you show your profile you can select wich 5 achievements that you have collected, to show.

I see that this is a heavy work,, and can not be made in only a few weeks. But we can maybe implement some of the techniques one by one. XD In the feature this could be really fun! XD

Not a bad idea at all, I for one like it.

Ranking teases in terms of how hard they are is another, more difficult topic though...

And as I'm sure plenty users are going to be opposed to the idea, it would probably be a good idea to have it optional so each user could determine whether to score such points or not.

I see horrible problems rating teases on "difficulty"
part of this is what is difficult for one person, is not as hard or challenging for another.

One person, 4 days of denial may be a big challenge... other100 days is average for them...


I do like the competitive nature of the idea.
just creating something that works for all people.. would probably be impossible.
we have a very diverse community here.

I suggest you try doing teases that take more than one day, or are part of a series
and challenge other to do the same!

I see a couple problems with this idea. How do you know whether people actually completed the tease instead of just clicking through to the end? As we have seen with TOTM people will try to find ways around the system to cheat their way into a title. It will also be hard to come up with a standard difficulty scale on teases. Some people find holding edges easy and others have a really hard time with it. Some can take a lot of pain, others not much at all. What one person finds to be a difficult tease can be an easy one to others. I suppose you could poll people that complete the tease for the difficulty level of it, but that can be a flawed method of gauging difficulty. I also don't know how much bigger this would wind up making the user database for Milo. Or how painful tracking what teases people have done and the lockouts would be.

I know it seems like I am ripping into this idea, but I do like the idea. It gives a reward system for people the frequent the teases. Maybe adds a little competitive spirit to the community. I'm just not sure how feasible it would be to actually implement. Though what you could do in the mean time is create a thread for people that are interested in this to sign up, post what teases they have done and then give out points/achievements to them for what they have done.

I really really like this idea, but dream makes a really good point about how difficult it would be to gauge the difficulty of teases, as well as knowing whether or not a person has actually completed the tease instead of just clicking through it. I don't think there is any way around this. Add to that the fact that some people just enjoy reading the teases and not actually following the instructions.

However, there is nothing to stop someone from running competitions, selecting say five teases and getting a group of users to compete by trying to complete them all in a a set time. It would of course be up to the person running the challenge to trust the competitors not to cheat.

Oh I do like a good competition!!

But yes agree it needs to be a level playing field.

But I do remember a little sub competition with a very good friend of mine and I had such fun that I think competitions rock!

P.S. SC - I promise its not just men that are competitive.......
