An MKV Project
If you build it, you will cum.

Description:
Prepared audio and video for building custom video teases.

Required:
7zip
mkvtoolnix
A standalone media player or a codec pack

How To:

AMP - The mkvmerge GUIde

1.
Download and extract mkvtoolnix-unicode-5.8.0.7z
Run mkvmerge GUI (mmg.exe)

2.
Click add and add AMP - We Aim To Tease - Video 01.mkv

3.
Click add and add AMP - We Aim To Tease - Video 01 - Track 01.mp3

4.
Change the Output filename
Click Start muxing

5.
Click File -> New
Repeat steps 2-4

6.
Click File -> New
Click add and add AMP - We Aim To Tease - Part 01.mkv

7.
Click append and add AMP - We Aim To Tease - Part 02.mkv

8.
Repeat step 7

9.
Change the Output filename
Click Start muxing

Notes:

<Merging Order>
It's extremely important to add and append in the "right" order.

Example 1: (recommended)

Code: Select all

Add video1.mkv, add audio1.mka and merge (round1.mkv)Add video2.mkv, add audio2.mka and merge (round2.mkv)Add round1.mkv, append round2.mkv, append 30secs.mkv and merge

round1.mkv (ID 0, type: video & ID 1, type: audio)
round2.mkv (ID 0, type: video & ID 1, type: audio)
30secs.mkv (ID 0, type: video & ID 1, type: audio)

Example 2: (not recommended)

Code: Select all

Add video1.mkv, append video2.mkv, append video3.mkv and merge (video_only.mkv)Add audio1.mka, append audio2.mka, append audio3.mka and merge (audio_only.mka)Add video_only.mkv, add audio_only.mka and merge

This will work too but it's not recommended because video uses frames to determine length and audio does not so the audio and video may be out of sync.

Example 3: (not recommended)

Code: Select all

Add audio1.mka, add video1.mkv and merge (round1.mkv)Add video2.mkv, add audio2.mka and merge (round2.mkv)Add round1.mkv, append round2.mkv, append 30secs.mkv and merge

round1.mkv (ID 0, type: audio & ID 1, type: video)
round2.mkv (ID 0, type: video & ID 1, type: audio)
30secs.mkv (ID 0, type: video & ID 1, type: audio)

This will cause an error because the audio and video from round1.mkv does not line up with the audio and video from round2.mkv or 30secs.mkv

Example 4: (not recommended)

Code: Select all

Add audio1.mka, add video1.mkv and merge (round1.mkv)Add audio2.mka, add video2.mkv and merge (round2.mkv)Add round1.mkv, append round2.mkv, append 30secs.mkv and merge

round1.mkv (ID 0, type: audio & ID 1, type: video)
round2.mkv (ID 0, type: audio & ID 1, type: video)
30secs.mkv (ID 0, type: video & ID 1, type: audio)

This will cause an error because the audio and video from 30secs.mkv does not line up with the audio and video from round1.mkv or round2.mkv

I'm not sure where part 2 is coming from in the instructions, what's the total runtime of the end product?

Also, why did you choose to release in this format? - Would it not make more sense to split up the file after its already been made on your end?

Not me...still can't seem to get it unpacked...always get a password error in 7Zip. I'm thinking/hoping that eventually someone will create a torrent of the finished product.
