Re: Help with Parralell resistors on DIY SteroStim box
The feeling will be most affected with high-pass resistors. But if you are playing mp3 files, you can do high-pass filter in Audacity , and also normalize (to move to 0 DC) for very similar effect. I'm confused now, you said in another thread that software processing doesn't work well or as intende...

Re: [Tutorial] Building your own DIY E-Stim Stereo Device
Some users have capacitors and resistors near the volume pots example here , iirc these turn the pot into log or reverse-log pots. Is this recommended? Is the volume range/sensitivity on the default build satisfactory? Do people use the pots on the stim box at all, or just volume control on the com...

Re: DIY schematics with questions
Do not put capacitor between positive and negative. How you drawn it is fine. Capacitor lets AC signal through, and stops DC. So it you put it between + and - you are short-circuiting all of the frequencies above 100-300 (very possibly blowing up the capacitor). Thanks for clarifying. That's what I...

Re: DIY schematics with questions
The 330 feels a bit more intense. But without would be more intense then? Guess that's a good starting point. The capacitors need to be on one side ("positive" or "negative"), not between the two. Sorry if I'm being dense here but wdym by on one side and not between +/-? If I'm ...

Re: DIY schematics with questions
To use the top channel as an example, I don't think you want to add R5 in parallel with R1. R1 sets the minimum impedance the amp sees to 3.9 ohms. Most amps don't like a lower impedance than about 4 ohms. Any resistor you add in parallel to R1 will lower the overall impedance. Your example effecti...

Re: [Tutorial] Building your own DIY E-Stim Stereo Device
... Power supply IT IS VITAL THIS IS CLASS 2 ... For future reference and beginners like me, there seems to exist two standards confusingly named Class 2 and Class II. I believe, please someone correct me if I'm wrong, that what's vital is that it is Class II, or at least that seems to be what's us...

Re: DIY schematics with questions
Thank you very much for your input in this @edger477. I have a question for you since you've mentioned in another thread that you have several amps - do you have a recommendation for a 2ch amp with individual volume controls? I'm only finding ones with a single master vol control. Either I'll go wit...

DIY schematics with questions
I wasn't gonna go down this DIY route but here I am... I would really appreciate feedback on below schematic, any type of feedback really but mainly regarding safety and whether it even makes sense from a stimming perspective (0 stimming experience). I've cobbled together a design based on the ones ...

Re: DIY vs commercial with triphase cable?
So it's not as much the triphase-support but the signal processing that sets a DIY apart form a commercial unit? In another thread I found the following: The difference between the 2B and the DIY boxes is that the 2B has advanced processing for handling incoming stereo sounds. This prevents sharp so...

DIY vs commercial with triphase cable?
I was under the impression DIY was recommended primarily because it enabled triphase (and most/all commercial boxes except the discontinued et312b only do stereo) but is that really the case or is there more to a DIY than supporting triphase? Is that "more" somehow quantifiable in words? I...

Re: [Meta] Milovana scraper for Stash
Pretty cool! It would also be a nice addition to take the body of the first post text and copy it into the description. Also maybe grab the largest image in the post--if there is one--and use it as the thumbnail for the video (since some creators create title or banner images to go with the content...

Re: [Meta] Milovana scraper for Stash
It's actually the first scraper I've used. Same. Well, this and the one for cockhero.info. My stash is pretty much 99% CH/PMV content. I had a look at pmv.wiki earlier, was intrigued to hear the announcement and I support it's goal. Also same with the PMV Stash project. These efforts and it's schol...

[Meta] Milovana scraper for Stash
For anyone storing cock heroes in Stash there's a scraper for Milovana here . It uses Milovana (release) threads to retrieve studio (thread author), title, date and cover image. Title: Thread topic minus all brackets/parenthesis+text within - e.g. with following thread topics: [RELEASE] Video4U [new...

Re: Curious about what you pick in regards to file size/quality when downloading
If a CH artist releases a 1080p render and a 720p render, the difference in image quality is perfectly clear to anybody who's not blind, and I will choose the 1080p. Unless of course there's a definitive gap, like between resolutions - 720p vs 1080p etc. I'm glad I'm not totally blind, yet. But if ...

Curious about what you pick in regards to file size/quality when downloading
I generally pick the larger file size because because disk space and bandwidth are less of a concern and I figure bigger file size should lead to better quality... But... I must admit that this notion for me is unfounded. As in, I'm not sure I even perceive those improvements in visual quality. Not ...
