This looks like an excellent resource. I'd like to use it, but I can't make it work yet. So, I have some basic questions:

1. Why can't I re-size the interface window? Someone else reported a similar problem. I'm unable to make the main interface window change sizes, and this largely prevents me from accessing the commands nearer the bottom of the screen without a lot of problematic rigamarole. I'm running Windows XP, BTW. The problem is, it's on a netbook, which accounts for my smaller screen.

2. Why doesn't the player recognize my CH collection? I have the player and all the CH vids in the same folder with all the DLL and XML and other files together. I have gotten the latest codecs, including the whole batch from CCCP. But eventually nothing happens in the Randomiser. It just sits there. It won't pick any video as a valid file to use. Do I have to use some particular name? Do I have to execute some command? Do I have to put the DLL files into some other location, or load them into something somehow? Do I have to "run" a video via the Randomiser somehow? In fact, let me rephrase:

3. In general, can you just give me a step-by-step guide? Here's where I am so far: (A) download the thing; (B) unzip the thing; (C) put all of my CH video files into the same folder as the thing; (D) double-click the .EXE thing; (E) (now what?) ...

I'll give other specifics about the steps I've taken, or the operating system I'm working with, etc., if anyone who might be able to help me out needs to know the details. Thanks!

And BTW, no complaints here, I think it's a GREAT resource and a REALLY COOL thing for the creator and other helpful people to provide for the forum. I'm just unlucky to be one of the few who is still software-challenged with it, thus far ... :weep: ... So, thanks to everyone who made it or who is working to help make it operate. You ROCK! :-D

You have to edit this here xml file and add filename duplicates. Have a look at what I've done myself.
A C++ editor like Bloodshed Dev-C++(FREE) works fine. Do NOT use wordpad - I've warned you!
You just need to add a <Filename>myCockHeroname.ext</Filename> line under said video.

edit after double-check: WindowsXP's Notepad and Wordpad definitely won't work for me.

Seriously, CH.exe won't run and you'll be left with blue balls :w00t:
Just rename the video files with "compatible" names and the randomizer will recognize them.

I for one had always assumed notepad pad was for scripts.

There is no problem using notepad to edit text files including XML files.

I used it to update my CHDB.XML file without any problems

Long time no update huu? Aren't you using the Randomiser anymore? Well maybe now, because here is an:

The xml is based on the file from dornhog but I corrected a few errors. Than I updated the missing movies in no special order.
So in some new videos like CH14 or all of the Flux there goes much work into the recovery/break parts and with the randomiser it is usually cut out.
I created a duplicate of many (every?) video which contains awesome pause sequences and added only the codes for the pauses.

If you don't want them there is also a xml without the breaks.
You have to rename the xml you want to use to "CHDB.xml"
If your videos aren't dound than you have to add your filename to the xml, I've added only the HD filenames.

PS: Andy could you create a second xml list for breaks or something? than an option like every second or third scene is a break scene could make the program even more awesome!

maybe another option would be interesting...

A randomised time (maybe type in the time from ... seconds to .... seconds) a scene will be played. and then it skips to the next.
So you would see many differend ladies and musics,... :-)

Update for the .xml file. There are still two files, one with breakes and one without and you have to rename the one you want to use to "chdb.xml".
