Chat Client SSL Certificate

Post by DoxysTurtle »

For those having issues with SSL when connecting to chat from a client, here's a copy of the chat certificate you can save and import:

Save the quoted text to a file (MilovanaChat.cert) then import it via the directions for your client. If you don't want to trust me on the quoted filed, you can obtain the certificate by typing
echo -n | openssl s_client -connect xmpp.milovana.com:5223 | sed -ne '/-BEGIN CERTIFICATE-/,/-END CERTIFICATE-/p' > ./Milovana.cert
I couldn't get the current Pidgin install on Ubuntu to accept the certificate directly from the server (it's an error from it being self signed and the update to the SSL library/lib purple not working well). So these was an easy work around.
